So I've finally been paid and decided to treat myself to...[nija edit]

A new game and 2 UMDs.

.
Lumines £14.99 Woolworths

A block revolving puzzler that Dave bought with his Jap machine. And it's stupidly addictive a bit like a mix between colums and Rez. By joining 4 of the same colour you create squares that you can then enlarge and make disappear on doing this it adds music to the tune that's playing as well as the sound the blocks make when rotating. A lot easier to play than to try and describe. I'm gonna try and have a link up with Dave when he gets back but I vaguely remember him saying something about the Jap and UK versions being incompatable. I hope not.

Serenity £7.99 Virgin Megastore

I'd not seen this before I bought it but I'm a huge Joss Whedon fan so wasn't expecting to be disappointed and thankfully I wasn't.

It's the first live action movie I've bough for my baby and I'm really impressed with the sound and picture quality but it does get a bit jaggy at high action scenes. Not a bad film and at under £8 a total steal.

Extras £7.99 Virgin Megastore

So I bought another UMD and this one came with two discs. I never saw all of the series on TV but what I did I really liked. Namely Patric Stewart and his film idea and Kate Winslet talking absolute filth. I've had a quick look at the second disc and there are tonnes of bonus features as well as the last episode, disc one is just the first five episodes.

A top british comedy and again at under £8 a total steal.

So my view on UMDs has changed slightly but I still think that they should be no more that a tenner. But from what I've heard Sony are no longer gonna be releasing movies on them. I'll just have to pick up a load cheap.
